Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day All!

Happy Mother's Day to my special Mom--she's a child of the King and has taken such good care of her family! She has a special soft spot in her heart for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mom would sew for us when we were young, including all three wedding dresses for my sisters and I (many bridesmaid dresses too...). She now quilts when able.





This card is for you Mom:

The silicone LaBlanche "Scissors"  image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink (my absolute favorite for Copic marker coloring), then colored with Copic Sketch markers. There is also a bit of Tim Holtz Distress Antique Linen ink used for distressing.

The paper used for today's project is Prima's "Lyric." You can purchase Lyric in two different sized pads: the one I used, 6X6," and the larger A4 size.

Special touches: Prima "Lyric Washi and Fabric Tape" (fabric ruler tab on lower right of image); and Prima "Lyric Say It In Crystals" pearl accents. There is also a border of May Art's 5/8" Crochet lace peeking out on the left side of the card.

My bow is made of Seam Binding Ribbon (Lyric Seam Binding Sampler) using a Bow Easy. You can find my tutorial for creating this bow HERE.
