The Lord is My Shepherd

Welcome! Here with a sympathy card today using

The Psalm 23 Bible passage is stamped on white cardstock with a Tonic Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and Delicata's non tarnishing "Golden Glitz" ink pad. It was then die cut with Spellbinder's "Hemstitch Rectangles" dies and layered (using Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue) over a piece of solid decorator paper from Wild Rose Studio's "Dancing Daisies" pack. A striped piece of the "Dancing Daisies" covers the base of the card.

I stamped the coneflower from the "Thank Your for Caring Coneflower" set with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink onto the white cardstock, die cut it with the
Coneflower Steel die, then proceeded to paint it with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

I simple dabbed the ink pads onto my Ranger Non-Stick Craft sheet, sprayed them with water from my Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer, and painted away with a watercolor paint brush. Easy clean up with just a baby wipe.

The coneflower is topped with a Seam Binding Ribbon Bow, created with an Original Bow Easy. See the tutorial HERE.

And the inside sentiment from the "Deepest Sympathy" stamp set, stamped with the Golden Glitz ink:

This is so pretty. I love coneflowers and this stamp is great. I went looking for it and discovered 'It's a small world'. I was scrolling down your blog page looking for link to the Stamp simply store and imagine my surprise when I saw the name 'Linda Schierkolk' on the sidebar. I thought 'can't be Pastor Tom's wife', but when I went to look at the art, sure enough, I think it is! We live in the next little village over from them. You are both so talented. I can see it runs in the family. Blessings

Hi Jackie: it surely is a small world! Yes, Linda is my youngest sister. She started out creating beautiful works of art as a young lady. We are away from the U.P. for now; cannot wait to get back. Thanks for commenting! You put a smile on my face! ;)
