Stamp Simply Ribbon Store--New Cross Dies

Hello, and Happy Friday!

I have for you a design featuring Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's new steel "Crosses" die. What elegant dies...the embossing on both of the crosses included in the set is quite special. Take a look:

Here's a closeup shot of embossing on the die cut...

I die cut this cross out of Ranger Watercolor paper. The watercolor paper is textured and a bit thicker than regular cardstock, so make certain that you layer up your embossing machine sandwich to get a nice amount of embossing and detail. Add cardstock shims if needed.

The decorator paper base is Prima's "Spring Farm House." A piece of vellum cut with a Spellbinder "Hemstitch Rectangle" die also makes up the background. I simply glued the cross to the vellum (TomBow Mono Multi Liquid Glue), then added more glue to the back of the vellum behind the cross to adhere it to the decorator paper. That way the glue does not show through.

The inside verse if from Stamp Simply's "Fear Not" sentiment set, stamped with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink and a Tonic Stamp platform. The verse was then cut with Stamp Simply steel "Fishtail Sentiment Banner Dies." Additional products used: Scor-Tape and a Kaisercraft Pearl for the center of the cross.

All linked supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.

Thanks for stopping in today; enjoy the upcoming weekend!

I'm seriously laughing right now. I was organizing my paper yesterday and I have that exact piece of paper sitting on my desk (it was loose), to make a cross card with! Great minds. Love the simple elegance of this card.
