Here today with a quick and easy to watercolor card, great for mass production! I have always loved this tree from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's "O Christmas Tree" clear stamp set. It's elegant for Christmas, as well as for the entire winter season.
Here's the process. As I said, it would be fairly easy to mass produce this design.
I began by stamping the tree from the "O Christmas Tree" set onto Ranger Water Color paper with Versafine Smokey Gray ink. Versafine inks work great for watercoloring as they are waterproof.
I loosely watercolored the tree just using green, brown, and blue gray water paints. I also spattered the background of the scene with the blue gray paint, and grounded the tree with some snow underneath. I also spattered some white gouash over the design to represent snow.
After the spatters dried, I die cut the image panel with Spellbinder Oval Nestabilities dies and layered them over a water color paper base.
I sprinkled chunky glitter (similar-- Stampendous Ultra Fine Translucent Glitter) onto the design using Tombow Aqua Glue.
The sentiment is from Stamp Simply's newly released "Typewritten Year Round Sentiments" clear stamp set. It is die cut with a Stamp Simply's Fishtail Banner Sentiment die. Scor Tape is used throughout the design.
Sparkly, pretty, and SO easy!
All linked supplies are from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
I hope that you have enjoyed this design and that it inspires you to try some quick watercolor -- letting beautiful stamps pave the way.
