Hello, and Welcome!
Here today with a sympathy card, which can also act as an all occasion design due to the sentiment being located within the card.
Lovely, colorful blossoms are useful for so many occasions!
I began by die cutting Tim Holtz/Sizzix "Brushstroke Flowers #2" dies from Ranger Watercolor paper, then water colored them with some Daniel Smith watercolors. The die flowers are easy to put together with a bit of glue and are fun to create.
I then embossed the top layer of the card with Tim Holtz 3D Texture Fade Lumber embossing folder. What great texture you get from the 3D folders! Fabulous. It's a bit hard to see in the photo, but the wood adds a nice touch to the floral overlay. Make certain to give your cardstock or paper a spritz of water to get the most out of your texture fade embossing folders!
The base of the card is more of the watercolor paper, with a layer of Craft Consortium "Ink Drops Vivid" decorator paper. Layers are adhered with Scor-Tape and Thermoweb 3D Foam.
The inside of the card has a sentiment from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store's "Sympathy Sentiments Set Two" clear stamps, stamped with VersaFine Clair Morning Mist ink. The Morning Mist ink is a subtle gray tone...perfect if you do not with to have a stark black or brown sentiment. It is die cut with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Banner Sentiment die, and accented with a bloom from the Tim Holtz Brushstroke die set.
All linked product is from The Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.
Thanks so very much for stopping by, and
have a wonderful weekend!
