I began by preparing the background using Carta Bella "Welcome Winter" decorator paper. I adhered it to the canvas board using Multi Media Matte to glue the paper down, then sealed the background with the same glue. You could also use Mod Podge.
The "Hello Winter" sentiment panel is from the "Welcome Winter" decorator paper pad.
After the adhesive dried, I spattered the background with Windsor and Newton white Gouache paint, and also rubbed some of the same paint on the edges for a wintery look.
Next up, the cups! I used both Stamp Simply sets, "A Cup of Java" and "Coffee or Tea?" die sets, cutting the top layer from the "Welcome Winter" dp and two more layers to add dimension. All three layers glued together really make the cups *POP*! The cups are also sealed with the Multi Media Matte to seal them.
