Thank You Black Eyed Susans

Hello! I've put together a card for today's My Favorite Instagram Hop...this week's theme is to use our favorite pattern. I have always loved gingham. I had a navy gingham blouse when I was young and it got a lot of wear thru the years. I had to buy one last year to relive those great memories.

The flowers are Spellbinder Echinacea/Cone Flower dies. I've made them up to look like Black Eyed Susans which are now blooming in our area. I watercolored the die cuts with Daniel Smith watercolors.

The sentiment is Stamp Simply's Farmhouse All Occasion Greeting clear stamp set. I stamped it with Versafine Clair Acorn ink and die cut it with a Spellbinder Narrow Oval die.

The base of this card is 4 x 5 1/4" so that the over hang will still fit in an envelope nicely.

Be sure to check out the rest of the pattern inspiration over at the Instagram hop! So fun to see what pattern is a favorite.

Name Above All Names

Hello! I have been playing with some ink for today's card...always fun!

I began by spritzing and splashing a watercolor paper panel with Ranger Distress Oxide sprays and then drying. I also die cut a butterfly (Tim Holtz Sizzix Tattered Butterflies Bigz die, retired) from watercolor paper and sprayed it with the same inks.

I pulled out Stamp Simply's Jesus clear stamp set and stamped the ink background with the block sentiment in the set with Archival Pebble Beach ink. I also dragged the ink pad around the edges of the panel with the Pebble Beach ink.

I stamped a sentiment from the Jesus stamp set for the main sentiment of the front of the card, as well as the "Jesus" inside the card.

All linked product is from Stamp Simply.

I'm including my card today in the Friends in Faith Instagram Hop. The theme today is Give Me Jesus.

If you would like to see more inspiration in this theme, be sure to check out the hop!

Have a great weekend!

His Mercies are New Every Morning!

Good Afternoon! Here to share my addition to this week's Friends in Faith Instagram Hop! Our theme this week is "Great is Thy Faithfulness." We are reminded that our Heavenly Father never changes, is always the same, as are the promises in His Word.

I began by making my background using Hero Art's Daisy Cover Plate die. I've always loved daisies and enjoyed playing with the die.

I simply cut the die from an A2 sized piece of royal blue cardstock. I then cut the same die piece once again to use as a template to lay over a white piece of cardstock to color in the daisy centers with a yellow colored Copic Sketch marker. The daisy petals were left white. I then glued the royal blue cardstock die cut over the white panel. Simple!

The lovely sentiment is from Stamp Simply's Farmhouse Scriptural Thoughts, stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and die cut with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Sentiment Banner die.

A border and bow of May Art's Baker's Twine (I used yellow, but orange would look fantastic as well) finishes the design.

Stamp Simply Give Thanks: Product of the Week

Hello! Today I am using one of Stamp Simply's Product of the Week stamp and die sets: Give Thanks! I absolutely love this oak leaf clear stamp set with such wonderful Bible verses and sentiments that are included. Easy to color and great with the matching die set!

I stamped the oak leaf image twice with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the leaves with Copic Sketch markers before die cutting them out. The leaves were then layered with the Psalm Bible verse (stamped with Versafine Clair Acorn ink) over a Tim Holtz Sizzix tag die. A piece of May Art's Baker's Twine is tied off the tag in a bow.

The base of the card has a bit of texture from using a embossing folder from Stampin' Up, no longer available. You could also achieve this look with a paper crimping tool.

All linked product is from Stamp Simply.

Stamp Simply's Product of the Week also includes their Harvest stamp and die set, and Falling Leaves Border Strip. I've included a couple of past design photos using these sets. Easy to color and makes quite an Autumn statement!

Thanks for stopping in and enjoy your weekend!

Grace upon Grace

Today's Friends in Faith Instagram hop focuses on "Grow in Grace."
My card is fairly simple with a one layer background that highlights the precious Bible verse from Stamp Simply's clear "Grace" stamp set.

The stencils used for the background are Simon Says Stamp "Friendly Blossoms 3 Piece Stencil Set." I sponge colored the blooms with Tim Holtz Ranger Oxide inks, then sprinkled a bit of water on them to lift a bit of the ink.

Quick and simple, plus easy to mail.

Check out the Friends in Faith Insta hop for more inspiration!

Welcome Fall Pumpkin: Stamp Simply Product of the Week

I have always loved this sweet pumpkin image from Stamp Simply's Welcome Fall clear stamp and die sets! It really packs an Autumn punch to cards and tags! And, it's one of Stamp Simply's Product of the Week selections! On sale now!

This card is quite simple. I've used Craft Consortium's Wood Textures decorator paper for the background. The wood texture border around the edge of the card is popped up for a shadow box effect.

The pumpkin image is stamped with Versafine Clair Acorn ink, and colored with Zig Kuretake Clean Brush Markers. It was then die cut with the Welcome Fall Pumpkin steel die. The sentiment from the Welcome Fall stamp set is also stamped with the Acorn ink, then die cut with a Stamp Simply Fishtail Sentiment Banner die.

A clean and simple design that is easy to mail. All linked products are from Stamp Simply.

As mentioned previously, the Welcome Fall stamp and die sets are the Product of the Week, joined by the Autumn Blessings stamps and die sets. Check them out!

Thanks for stopping in and have a wonderful weekend!

Chicken Love

I'm participating in today's My Favorite Hop over on Instagram today and the theme is "Favorite Chicken." Well, this rooster die has been calling my name since I received it...Paper Trey Ink's Country Rooster Die. You can also purchase some neat Country Rooster Stencils separately...love those as well but did not use them on today's bird.

The sentiment is Stamp Simply's Typewritten Year Round Greetings, stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, and then die cut with a Stamp Simply's Fishtail Sentiment Banner die.

The decorator paper used here is Echo Park's Bee Happy.

If you're in the mood for some chicken, head over to Instagram and check out the cards there...thanks for stopping by!
